Exiting Your Lease in New York Made Easy
All good things must come to an end, and that includes the leasing of a vehicle. Most people end their leases by following the terms of the original lease and, when the time is up, simply returning it.
Others sometimes need to end a lease early. Financial situations change, for ex. That Maserati you leased a year ago was a brilliant idea – until your hours got cut back at work and you just can’t afford “that much” car.
And basic needs can change as well. If you’d leased a nice, sedate sedan but are now getting work as a roadie for your favorite band on the weekends, a van might now be a better match for what you’re needing out of a vehicle.
Or take the guy who’d leased a truck because he was working in construction – but now finds himself with a desk job and isn’t into fueling up a big truck when a sedan like the aforementioned roadie is trying to get out from under would be a much better deal for him.
And sometimes it’s just tastes that change. We likely all know someone who’s hit the big Four-Oh, got divorced, and is wanting to drive around New York in a sexy little coupe rather than the SUV he’d leased earlier.
Whatever the situation is that leads you to want to exit your lease, we can help!
Ways Out of a Lease
There are three main ways to get out from under a vehicle you’re no longer wanting to lease. The first method is the most obvious, and the most common: just let it die naturally. That is, simply ride it out, fulfill the terms of the original lease, and then move on to a different vehicle (or not lease anything at all). This is the easiest way to get out of a lease, and to accomplish it, just call us up when the lease is up, and we’ll come pick it up, bringing with us all the necessary paperwork. We’ll conduct the inspection right there, on the spot, with you by our side, if you like. That’s it!
The second main way to end a lease is to end it early, a method that typically involves some sort of fee, but depending on your reasons for wanting to end that lease, may well be worth it. For ex., the construction worker described above — the guy who now has a desk job — might ascertain that what he’d save in fuel would more than cover any fee he might have to pay. Or the fee might just be worth it for other reasons, as in the example of the just-divorced, middle-aged guy who wants to present a different image of himself to the world than his SUV allowed, but which that sexy little coupe matches perfectly.
The third main way to end a lease is our favorite: a lease transfer. In a lease transfer, someone who’d love to drive a car just like the one you’re driving now but want to get away from, takes over your lease. Totally. That person will fulfill all of the remaining obligations of that lease, make all the remaining payments, and you will be free to lease a totally different vehicle.
Whichever method of ending a lease you’re wanting to engage in, all you have to do is call us up, tell us your story, and we’ll walk you through it.
Now What?
After you’ve exited a lease, you’re free to lease a totally different vehicle, one that’s newer, with the latest technological gadgets that are turning driving into an adventure, and with the most up-to-date engineering features to keep you and yours safe. Pretty much any new model vehicle you can name, we have for you in our inventory! Any new model made by Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Ram, Subaru, Smart, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo – whether sedan, coupe, convertible, SUV, van, mini-van, truck, or off-road vehicle – is in our stock, ready for you to claim as your own.
Of course, you’re free to lease nothing at all, but with our prices, why wouldn’t you lease? You won’t find leasing prices that can touch ours! There’s no big magic trick behind our ability to charge such incredibly low prices; it’s a simple matter of our keeping our overhead down so we don’t have high operating costs that our customers have to pay for in the end. Seriously. That’s it! But there is something we do that is pretty radical in going about keeping those operating costs down: we say no to having a physical car lot, opting for a virtual car lot instead. Instead of a physical car lot, with all the property costs, property taxes, property insurance, big utility bills, and a whole bunch of other bills to mess with, our virtual lot sits right on the internet, always open and ready for you to explore, any time you like!
Having a virtual lot also means that car leasing can’t get any easier! You won’t have to drive anywhere to explore our inventory, so forget about calling cabs or bumming rides. Instead, just kick back at home, turn on your computer, and roll on over to our site, at which you can check out our virtual lot and all of the literally hundreds of vehicles that populate it! Do that car shopping any time you want to, day or night. You set the business hours, no one else! And you set the pace, too, because there won’t be any salesmen rushing you. We’re sure that most salesmen are great people, but they can really make customers feel pressured, especially if they’re following them around and trying out sales tricks out on them. To quote the spectacular Sweet Brown, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” And no one has any need of that, either. If you have any questions as you’re exploring our offerings, all you have to do is call us up and ask. Meanwhile, you can do your car shopping in peace.
